There is a pipe in the thermal deaerator called expansion steam; what is its function?

The steam from the exhaust of the recovery boiler is used to heat the deaerator; when multiple deailers are in operation, this is also referred to as a steam balance pipe.
Steam balance pipes and drain pipes are two different things. The impurities at the bottom of the boiler water in the drum are removed through the regular drainage expansion tank, while the impurities on the surface of the boiler water are sent to the continuous drainage expansion tank via the continuous drainage pipes; there, they flash and the water containing impurities is then discharged. The heat from the steam can be utilized, as it is directed to the top of the water tank in the deaerator for recovery.
