Are there any insulation materials with a lower thermal conductivity than rock wool that offer better insulation performance?
Silicate and polyurethane materials, for example, offer better performance than rock wool; I’m not sure what kind of ring you want to insulate – rock wool is flammable
But according to the design manual, the thermal conductivity of silicates is higher than that of rock wool; then why is it said that silicates provide better insulation?

In China, the reputation of rock wool has been damaged by materials like slag wool; in fact, proper rock wool is by no means inferior. As you can see, aluminum silicate cotton can be used at high temperatures, but its drawback is its high thermal conductivity. So if both materials are of qualified quality and the temperature is within the range suitable for rock wool use, in fact rock wool will require a thinner insulation layer. As far as I know, the European market is dominated by rock wool, but the rock wool used there is not exactly the same as the \"rock wool\" used in China. Therefore, for high-temperature applications, it’s better to use aluminum silicate wool in China, while centrifugal glass wool can be used at temperatures below 300°C.
