Hello, experts! Recently, the pressure of natural gas used in the factory has been increased from 2 bar to 3 bar. After this increase, one problem that arose was an increase in gas consumption by 10%-20%, while production volume remained unchanged or even decreased (other factories report similar situations). It’s true that the flow rate increases after pressurization!
Normally, it shouldn’t affect production, after all your flow measurements are at standard levels – so how could there be an increase? It should remain unchanged after the process adjustment
I think the same way; there’s nothing wrong with the flow meter! I’m guessing now that it might be because of high pressure, the gas doesn’t burn completely and escapes, or it’s the effect of high pressure on the gas density that causes this issue!
