I hope teachers with practical experience can tell me the amount of antioxidant to add, and by how much does each one percent of antioxidant increase the induction period?
This issue requires specific analysis; antioxidants are divided into those suitable for low temperatures and those for high temperatures, and different types are used in different applications with varying functions. Depending on the components and proportions of the oil you are blending, as well as the amount to be added, the dosage varies, and a specific analysis is required. Looking at 170 minutes, it seems that the addition of components such as olefins is necessary; the stability remains fairly good at that point, and the technology is satisfactory at that stage, but degradation occurs relatively rapidly over time. Different components require different antioxidants, and specific analysis is needed.

The active ingredient of the liquid antioxidant used in gasoline today is N,N’-di-sec-butyl-p-phenylenediamine. Formulations with a purity of over 96% can extend the induction period by at least 100 minutes per 10 PPM, while an addition of 30 PPM can extend it by more than 400 minutes. Therefore, all gasoline with 30PPM of additive can meet the induction period requirement. Most antioxidants are diluted, so dosages of 50-150 are used. The price of the pure substance was around 70,000–90,000 yuan per ton two years ago; when diluted to 30–40%, its price is 35,000–40,000 yuan per ton.
