What is the purpose of a water jacket in a gasification furnace?

It is necessary to determine the exact location where water cooling should be installed; generally, there are two types: one serves to remove heat and thus protect the equipment； Another method of generating steam belongs to the waste boiler process.
The temperature in the gasification zone of a gas stove reaches 1300+°C. At this temperature, coal reaches its ash melting point; without a water jacket, steel would suffer severe deformation due to both this high temperature and gravity, resulting in damage or destruction of the stove. The water jacket draws away a large amount of heat from the furnace, which hinders the gas stove’s ability to retain heat and results in significant energy waste. However, the use of a water jacket is actually a last resort; if one day a new material emerges that can maintain high strength and rigidity at such high temperatures without causing scaling, then the water jacket will undoubtedly be abandoned, and the coal consumption per ton of synthetic ammonia produced will also decrease significantly!
So the main purpose of this is to protect the jacket, and secondly to recover heat from the steam.
