Date, Tower Name, PH, Ammonia Volatility, PDS, Suspended Sulfur, Thiosulfate, Hydrogen Sulfide (mg/m3): Inlet, Outlet. Tower 1: 8.21, 11.56, 22.73, 3.03, 71.04; 3976, 886. Tower 2: 8.21, 2.41, 13.34, 2.24, 81.4. Tower 21: 8.21, 2.41, 22.83, 3.84, 72.55; 992, 59. Tower 2: 8.21, 4.11, 18.13, 2.93, 105.8. Tower 31: 8.21, 2.41, 18.33, 3.62, 72.53; 3237, 749. Tower 2: 8.21, 3.09, 17.84, 2.21, 90.28. Based on the data provided by the laboratory, could anyone help analyze why the hydrogen sulfide level in the gas exiting the tower remains high? Tower 1 and Tower 2 are connected in series; the circulation rate of the desulfurization fluid is 340 m3/h, while the air flow rate for both towers is 550 m3/h. The diameter of the regeneration tower is 4476 mm, and its height is 48910 mm.
Has a hydrogen sulfide filter been installed?
There is no hydrogen sulfide filter installed here. What is a hydrogen sulfide filter?
The temperature of the desulfurization liquid is 30~35°C, and the temperature of the gas is 35~40°C.
Considering the uniformity of catalyst distribution,
How can the catalyst be distributed evenly? Here, I use a bucket of water to dissolve 1 pack (or 2 packs) of catalyst, then pour it into the catalyst tank; the catalyst solution flows into the desulfurization tower through the thin tube in less than a minute. It didn’t overflow either right after the catalyst was added. That is, when the catalyst concentration is high, not to mention when it is low.
How effective is sulfur melting? What are the hydrogen sulfide levels after the first tower and after the second tower? The amount of recycled air can be increased a bit more!

The sulfur foam that overflows from the regeneration tower enters the foam tank, and from there it is pumped to the filter press by a foam pump. We only measure two hydrogen sulfide levels, namely those before and after the tower; in other words, the hydrogen sulfide levels prior to and subsequent to the desulfurization unit.
You must establish sampling points in the two towers in order to identify the source of the fault; it is also necessary from a management perspective. This task can be carried out as part of a major technical upgrade. Wait for the year-end prize

There are three towers in total, and each tower has sampling points on its gas outlet pipeline; in other words, there are sampling points between the two towers. It’s just that the nozzle on the sampling tube, which connects to the latex tube (for connecting to the sampling equipment), was deliberately removed by someone, so it’s impossible to take samples. Besides, the company’s management is only concerned with the hydrogen sulfide content in the gas behind the tower; that’s why they were sometimes reluctant to take samples in the past. Now it is politics that guides production, not science.
