A bridge crane appears to be a bridge from the outside; it is a type of track crane that operates across high tracks on both sides, and it comes in two types: single-girder and double-girder. The traveling mechanism and the lifting mechanism of a single-girder bridge crane are integrated and mounted beneath the girder, moving along it; it is also known as an electric hoist. Furthermore, before installing a bridge crane, the crane beam should be installed first. The lifting capacity of the crane is closely related to the load-bearing capacity of the crane beam; generally, the lifting capacity of a double-beam crane is greater than that of a single-beam crane. There are also standard products available for bridge cranes. The lifting capacity, as well as the model and specifications of such cranes, serve as the main criteria for determining whether to choose a single-girder or double-girder crane; therefore, these parameters should be taken into consideration when selecting a bridge crane.
