What are the ecological studies on environmental pollution? Please specify.
There are those who specialize in research on polluted ecosystems; There are three main categories: atmosphere, water, and soil, which overlap with research in environmental science and biochemistry. Pollution ecology, in addition to studying the mechanisms of environmental pollution, also emphasizes ecological restoration, which has become a focus of research in recent years; it is more conducive to the sustainable development of the entire ecosystem than simple physical or chemical restoration methods
(1) Studying the ecological effects of environmental pollution: Investigating the impact of environmental pollution on various organisms in ecology, as well as the accumulation, concentration, amplification, synergistic, and antagonistic effects of pollutants within organisms. (2) Study of biological purification of environmental pollution: such as the absorption, adsorption, dust retention, and bactericidal effects of green plants on air pollutants, the purification functions of the soil-plant system, the degradation and transformation processes carried out by plant roots and soil microorganisms, and the role of organisms in purifying water pollution. (3) Conducting biological monitoring and biological assessment of environmental pollution: A method of assessing environmental pollution by utilizing the various signals emitted by organisms in different polluted environments.
