When our unit is operating at high capacity, the float of the high-level gauge in the diesel unit gets stuck, and the indicated value remains unchanged. I’m not sure what the cause is What are the common factors that cause this issue in float level gauges?

The float is stuck, so of course the reading doesn’t change
Sticking: it shows no response when the liquid level is low; if the liquid level drops to zero, pressure surges can become dangerous
For our high-temperature and low-temperature as well as cold-temperature applications, we use magnetic flip-type level gauges. Occasionally, these gauges may get stuck; therefore, we ask the operators to tap them while checking the actual liquid level. When using automatic control for the liquid level, it’s necessary to change the set values from time to time, so that the magnetic float doesn’t remain in one position all the time. Additionally, it’s advisable to clean the gauges during maintenance, and using them in conjunction with level switches provides extra safety
