Is there a safe and efficient way to add agents to the catalyst tank in a catalytic cracking unit? In addition to vacuum-added agents and crane-pumped added agents
It’s very safe to add the agent under vacuum, on the ground. We use this method for all of these.
Generally, it’s just about creating a vacuum! It’s just that the methods of creating a vacuum differ; some use steam ejectors, some use water ring vacuum pumps, and others use different types of vacuum pumps! A centrifuge can be installed for the extraction of air from the top of the catalyst tank to reduce the amount of fine catalyst powder that is extracted!
Wouldn’t that be a waste of steam? 1.0MP steam loss, with electric power consumed by vacuum pumps. Are there any energy-saving measures? Or energy recovery
Our facility uses an automatic additive-dusting device that relies on unpurified air as the driving force; the speed at which additives are applied is quite good. In the past, vacuum extraction was used instead

Cement tank trucks are convenient for filling, but the transportation costs are too high; it depends on what catalyst is used – using a crane would be more energy-efficient

However, when I discussed this with the catalyst factory, they said that this approach isn’t very practical, as it requires setting up a fleet; ordinary transportation methods can be used instead, without the need for one’s own logistics team – just finding a freight service will suffice
