Crane accidents generally refer to incidents in which, during operation, heavy objects such as hooks and lifting gear fall from the air, causing injuries or fatalities, or resulting in mechanical damage. It refers to the breaking of lifting ropes or steel cables due to overload. The main reasons are the breakage of the wire rope due to over-winding caused by a failed lifting limiter, or wear and tear, improper lifting methods, and lack of maintenance. 3. Hook breakage accident. It refers to accidents in which heavy objects fall due to a broken hook. The main reasons for the hook breaking and falling accidents are poor quality of the hook material, long-term wear and tear of the hook, continued use despite it having reached the end-of-life standard, as well as frequent overloading.
