Because the water used to cool the quenching ring of the gasification furnace in the quenching water pump is quite dirty; it’s impossible to remove the pump during maintenance, mainly due to scale buildup that prevents removal. Does anyone have a solution?
1. Reduce the maintenance cycle: the overhaul interval of 8,000 hours can be shortened to 6,000 hours. 2. The set screws designed for this purpose are not effective at all; large nuts (such as M20 or M24) should be welded to the bolt holes on the pump cover, distributed evenly – 4 or 6 nuts can be welded together to enable the pump cover to be opened.
Should the large double-headed bolts of the quenching pump be kept as spare parts? Will it get disconnected every time it’s removed?
Use a set screw to push, hammer the steel plate on the pump cover to loosen the nut slightly. Open the inlet valve and flush it with high-pressure water. I am from a chill water pump manufacturer.
The impeller of the chilled water pump should be sealed with an O-ring, right? Did you fail to install that O-ring? Installing it does give very good results: lol
