The unit has a reactor in which the medium consists of hydrogen and sodium; the maximum operating pressure inside the reactor is 1.5 MPa. Currently, a magnetic stirrer mechanical seal is being used, but after just half a month of operation, this seal wears out and starts to leak, and the cost of repairing it is very high. We are considering switching to a packing seal, and we are looking for a reliable manufacturer to develop a solution for this.
A packing seal at 1.5 MPa definitely won’t work; a magnetic stirrer mechanical seal is the preferred option.
Use a harmonic reducer to isolate the internal and external media?
