When the tower crane is raised to its maximum lifting height, no attachment is required; under normal conditions it can lift up to 40 meters, which is sufficient to meet the construction needs of buildings with a low to medium number of floors. To prevent accidents caused by the hook rising to a height that could damage the equipment, it is required that each tower crane be equipped with a height limiter; this device automatically shuts off the power supply for lifting when the hook reaches a distance of 1-2 meters from the boom, thereby preventing further upward movement of the hook.
