Seeking help: Problem with negative pressure in vacuum flash evaporation. The negative pressure in the upper column remains around -22 kPa, while that in the lower column is around -70 kPa. The temperature in the upper column is about 60°C, and the same in the lower column. It seems there might be an issue somewhere; since the pressures are different, the temperatures should also be different. This is the problem…; Recently, the flash vacuum has been low; the pressure in the upper tower is at -10 kPa at 70 degrees Celsius ; Lower tower: 56 kPa, -65 degrees Celsius; various adjustments fail to restore normal operation. Please share your ideas.
It is recommended to use a flowchart to see if there are other reasons. The first temperature indicates whether it is the true value. Whether the second pressure is displayed correctly.
Analyze the feed concentration. Is there a significant change in the light components? Changes in feed temperature?
The vacuum gauge shows whether there is a problem; if the temperatures of the two are not very different, the vacuum level shouldn’t differ that much, right?
See what’s different recently and in the past. Compare where the changes are more noticeable.
When analyzing a flashing system, both high flash point and low flash point must be taken into account; it is not possible to analyze the true flash point alone.
What is the operation cycle like? Is there a place that’s worn out?
