Temperature has an effect on the state of gases; when it comes to the impact of temperature differences, this refers to a comparison of the state of gases under two or more different temperature conditions. Given that the compressibility of gases and temperature changes can have a fundamental impact on their state of aggregation, the effect of temperature differences on gases must be determined by examining the state of the gas at the various temperatures that cause such differences. Some gases, when cooled and subjected to a large temperature difference, may liquefy or even solidify; in such cases, the change in the state of the gas constitutes a fundamental change.
