Martyrs’ Day is a statutory day set aside to honor the heroes of one’s own country. Many countries in the world have their own official days to honor martyrs, and on these days, solemn memorial ceremonies are held to pay tribute to the heroes of that country. August 31, 2014: At the 10th meeting of the 12th REN Congress, a resolution was adopted through voting regarding the establishment of a Martyrs’ Memorial Day.
