How to remove chloride ions from gas
Absorb with 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, or wash with alkali
It mainly depends on the chlorine concentration in the gas; if the concentration is low, a dechlorinating agent can be used, and absorption can take place at room temperature.
Are there any friends who are currently using a dechlorinating agent? Which brand do they use, and how effective is it?
We applied a small amount of dechlorinating agent on the zinc oxide at room temperature; it’s W704 from Wuhan Collin, and its purpose is mainly to protect the zinc oxide. As for the effect, haha, we’ve never tested it.
Generally, it is removed separately during water washing and flashing. In the case of the former, it remains in the liquid phase; aside from adjusting the pH, there doesn’t seem to be much removal of this substance, and it usually ends up as wastewater sent to a wastewater treatment plant. As for the latter, it is often discharged directly on-site, even if it is done secretly.
