It is necessary to maintain a positive pressure in the storage tank; the charging of propylene should be done slowly to prevent local low temperatures caused by too fast charging speeds. Feeding can proceed normally once the pressure in the storage tank reaches the saturated vapor pressure of propylene at that temperature.
If the storage tank has already passed the replacement inspection, there is no need to fill it with nitrogen; propylene can be introduced directly. Just make sure to control the initial flow rate. No positive pressure needs to be maintained before collecting propylene.
It should be pressurized; otherwise, are you planning to use propylene to vaporize it and thus apply pressure? Aren’t you worried the storage tank will freeze? Just before putting it into use, a nitrogen sealing test needs to be carried out; after the test, the pressure is slightly reduced, and then propylene can be introduced directly, ensuring that it remains in the form of a gas inside.
