Under normal conditions, the output feedback from a control valve is 4-20mA; what could be the reason if the feedback signal shows 0mA? What should the state of the valve be at this time?
If the feedback signal shows 0mA, the reason is that the circuit is not connected. At this time, the valve should be in either fully open or fully closed position.

In this case, the power is not turned on; some control valves have faults and shut down due to those faults, while others do not have such a fault switch (the type without a spring inside the cylinder – in which case the valve position remains unchanged even when power is lost).
