Is it feasible when the pressure rating of the flange in the PID differs from that of the pipeline?
What do you mean? Analyze each specific issue individually. Some low-pressure pipes that are located at the boundary of pressure levels use high-pressure flanges in order to be compatible with high-pressure valves.
The valve rating should be higher than that of the pipeline, right?
For the location of the grade boundary, it is best to follow the requirements of the process units or process packages; using the pressure rating specified for the equipment at the source of the pipeline is ideal.
