Does the thickness of the calcium fluoride window in an infrared chromatograph affect measurement accuracy?

The original manufacturer of the calcium fluoride window for infrared chromatographs is out of stock; I want to replace the 6mm thick lens with a 5mm one. I’m not sure if this will affect the measurements. . . Analyze butane!
What is an infrared chromatograph? The original poster, please explain in detail. None of the chromatographs I have come across have used calcium fluoride windows; if such systems do exist, they must be chromatography-infrared spectrometers, with chromatography at the front and infrared spectroscopy at the back.
