Overall, that’s true. Fungicides are used to inhibit and eliminate microorganisms. Scale inhibitors are used to reduce and prevent the accumulation of minerals. The acid used is to adjust the pH value. Different chemicals have various functions, all aimed at softening water and reducing or removing impurities.

Adding water treatment chemicals to circulating water only increases the degree of water pollution to some extent, but this increase serves purposes such as scale prevention, corrosion inhibition, sterilization, and purification. If chemicals added during the circulation water treatment process help to remove impurities from the water, then generally there is no need to add fresh water anymore; polluted water can be directly added, and it will become purified as it flows through, which would be great. That is not a closed-loop water treatment process; it is a water purification process.
