Maintenance personnel mainly receive on-the-job training
It mainly involves on-the-job training, focusing on the working principles of equipment and machinery, as well as the identification, diagnosis, and repair procedures for wear-prone parts and areas prone to failure.
Training for maintenance staff is important; they should learn what is necessary for their tasks and fill in any gaps in their knowledge.
Maintenance workers must hold relevant certificates to work; their role is focused on repairs, and without technical skills, repairs are impossible. Therefore, the technical proficiency of maintenance workers is extremely important!
Maintenance workers perform technical tasks, and training for them is very important. The main type of training is skill development, while training on safety procedures is also necessary, as there are many people who fail to follow the rules.
Maintenance technicians are not just people who simply tighten screws. First, there is the issue of safety: those who do not understand maintenance techniques may end up not only failing to fix the equipment but also causing safety accidents themselves. An experienced and skilled technician can identify potential safety hazards during the maintenance process and thus reduce or even eliminate such hazards. Second, there is the technical aspect: individuals without proper maintenance skills might damage the equipment, resulting in a situation that is worse than before the repair was done. A skilled technician can minimize the number of faults in the equipment and shorten the time between failures, thereby avoiding repeated repairs. In the end, the skills of maintenance personnel determine to a large extent the service life and efficiency of equipment. In our regular maintenance activities, we should provide them with adequate training in terms of safety and technical skills; an improvement in their capabilities is highly beneficial for the equipment in a production line or even an entire factory.
