I am a senior student about to undertake a course project, and I want to study on my own first. But I don’t know how to improve my ability to read diagrams; I hope to get some guidance. Thank you very much.
Once the foundational knowledge has been accumulated to a certain extent, it will become natural to understand it
Look at the legend more often and read the diagram repeatedly; don’t expect any shortcuts!
Are there any relevant books I could read? As you know, university textbooks have too few and too simplistic diagrams; I’m looking for recommendations.
I went through the same thing; I’m not sure about the specific books used, but it was only after arriving at the factory and getting the blueprints that I really started working with them, and I realized that what I learned in university was basically useless……

If you know how to create 3D models, that makes things much easier; it’s much better to look at the drawings with the model or the actual object in hand. Alternatively, position yourself as an assembler: when you need a certain part, check the relevant information available. After all, blueprints are meant to serve the user, and a good blueprint will not contain any unnecessary or missing elements.
Which type of 3D skills are needed? Is it too difficult to create 3D models for beginners in design?
Then find something simple; CAD will do. Shouldn’t this be learned in this school? To understand the diagrams, one needs spatial imagination; otherwise, software is really necessary. Of course, the model is beneficial for actual collision detection in prosecution.

You’re welcome. Academics come first; even if you master it, you might not need it after graduation. It depends on the profession you pursue and the specific tasks involved after graduation. :handshake
