What is a water distribution system? What are the water distribution methods?
The function of the water distribution system is to distribute the hot water that needs to be cooled evenly across the entire surface of the wetting filler, thereby maximizing its cooling effect. The water distribution system is directly related to the quality of the cooling performance. The water distribution methods include trough type, tank type, pipe type, and rotating distributor type. Trough and tank-type water distribution systems have slightly lower water supply pressure, but are prone to siltation and algae growth, as well as presenting high air flow resistance. Tubular distribution ensures even water distribution, produces fine water droplets, and provides good cooling effects; it is easy to maintain high installation quality, and algae do not tend to grow inside the pipes. However, if the water quality is too poor (for example, with a suspended solids content of more than 20 mg/L), the pipes can become clogged. The rotating water distributor also belongs to the tubular type of water distribution, providing relatively even distribution of water; however, it is prone to damage. Water distribution nozzles mainly include radial types and the newer three-spray nozzles (which are further divided into high-pressure and low-pressure types).
