Dear experts, I have no experience in this industry at all. I want to set up a plant that can produce 2 tons of electrolytic copper per day, with an investment of 800,000 yuan (based on my own estimates). There is no electricity available in the mining area, so a generator set is necessary. The labor costs in this area are extremely low, and the ore is mostly oxidized ore! Could any expert help with the design? ! ! Thank you so much
For oxidized ores, dissolve them directly with acid. Use two jaw crushers, two roll mills, and a set of classification screens. For fine powders, dissolve them using acid as well; construct an leaching tank or design a leaching trough for multi-stage leaching. After that, use a pressure filter for filtration, followed by extraction and electrowinning
I’m thinking leaching, extraction, and electrowinning. But there’s a lot I don’t know about it; I’m not sure if an investment of 800,000 is sufficient. There’s no need for such specialized equipment, as it’s already available in the mines

There is also the ratio configuration of the electrolyzer and the extraction tank, as well as the ratio configuration of the silicon rectifier. Two servings of copper per day
When are you planning to start construction? In that place in Africa?
Leach mining is also an option; it’s necessary to understand the properties of the ore. If the ore has good leaching permeability, then leach mining presents the lowest costs. I have designed processes for both extraction-electrodeposition methods. But it seems that 800,000 in investment isn’t enough.
The operating costs are also significant; an investment of 800,000 is a bit tight
Over 600 tons per year – 800,000 is definitely not enough; at least 3–4 million would be required.
There are many experts on the forum; 800,000 is too low, unless copper electrowinning is not carried out
To conduct a detailed analysis, one needs to consider factors such as the grade of raw materials, the consumption of chemical materials, the electrowinning equipment, and electricity consumption...
