Everyone, in a piping system, what is the appropriate ratio between rigid hangers and spring hangers? Is it 1:1? Also, in the cold state, what is a suitable value to control the cold-state displacement at – 10 mm?
Even if such a rule is established, it is merely symbolic and cannot serve as a basis for mandatory enforcement
If you have enough money, you can turn all the spring hangers into rigid ones
1. Springs and rigid frames should be arranged properly to ensure that the pipeline does not lose stability due to an excessive number of springs. It is recommended to use springs as little as possible. 2. The displacement in the cold state is generally very small. If your displacement is this large, be careful. Avoid instability at low temperatures. Under hot conditions, displacement must be controlled to prevent the supports from coming loose.
1 There is no fixed ratio between rigid brackets and elastic brackets; it depends on the factory’s temperature, dimensions, and manufacturing processes. But 1:1 is probably not achievable; even some manufacturers in certain systems may not be able to achieve 10:1. 2 The deflection control is primarily based on the need to avoid frequency resonance; the national standard requires 15 MM inside the device and 38 MM outside it. The regulations for general items set certain requirements; in my opinion, as long as it is smaller than this value, it’s fine. I usually* prefer to keep the maximum deflection at 6/12 mm.
