I remember that the national standards state that the thickness of the boss is not included in the thickness of the flange cover. When preparing the drawings, the client requested that the thickness of the flange cover be indicated; therefore, when entering the details in the schedule, only the effective thickness needs to be specified, without having to mention the thickness of the boss separately?
Is it because the flange cover is a non-standard item that you need to indicate this thickness? If it is standard, then you can use the thickness letter codes specified in the standards. It seems that C represents the thickness.
Well, it’s non-standard, and a finite element analysis report also needs to be prepared, so the thickness should be specified in the details column.
Then you can just indicate the total thickness, or provide a part diagram to the user at the end.
