What are the common defects in tower manufacturing?
There should be issues such as failed weld inspection, depressions inside the tower structure, and internal construction defects; I’m not very familiar with these things. I hope the original poster can share the materials after learning it!
The internal components of the tower do not meet the required dimensions, the positions of the pipe ends are incorrect, the welds do not satisfy the specifications (such as slag inclusions, pores, undercutting, etc.), the welding material does not match the base material, and the levelness of the internal components of the tower is insufficient
Most commonly, deviations in the shape and geometric dimensions of the tower internals, their positional dimensions, and the levelness of the trays occur, which prevent the internals from being installed or, if installed, affect the operational performance of the tower.
The dimensions of the components inside the tower are incorrect, the orientation of the pipe ends is inadequate, the welds do not meet the required standards, the welding materials do not match the base material, and there are deviations in the shape and geometric dimensions as well as the positional dimensions of the components inside the tower; furthermore, the levelness of these components is insufficient.
