How is the pressure testing ratio for valves installed on-site determined? In accordance with the requirements of GB50184.4.0.3, 1) Valves used for GC1-class pipelines and pipelines carrying Class C fluids with a design pressure of 10 MPa or higher shall undergo 100% inspection. 2) For valves used in GC2 class pipelines and all Class C fluid pipelines with a design pressure of less than 10 MPa, 10% of each inspection lot shall be sampled, with a minimum of 1 valve per lot. 3) For valves used in GC3-class pipelines and Class D fluid pipelines, 5% of each inspection lot shall be sampled randomly, with a minimum of 1 valve per lot. Currently, these valves are for Class A2 fluids and low-pressure non-pressure pipelines, and therefore fall outside the scope mentioned above. Furthermore, this ratio requirement does not specify that it must be carried out on-site; even if all valves come with factory-issued certification, is it still necessary to conduct random inspections? What should the sampling ratio be? Note: Since the project is not in the petrochemical industry, it is more persuasive to follow the regulations specified in GB standards.
I can’t say exactly what the regulations are; my clients usually conduct random inspections on 20% of the items. But sometimes the installation companies might be lazy: lol
