What are the structural features of a carbon dioxide absorption tower?
The carbon dioxide absorption tower is a two-section vertical cylindrical packed tower; the lower section, with a larger diameter, constitutes the first section, while the upper section, with a smaller diameter, constitutes the second section. A conical section serves as a transition in the middle, connecting the upper and lower sections. In the upper and lower sections, each section is equipped with two layers of metal Bollinger ring packing (one layer in the upper section in some cases). Above the metal Pall ring packing layer in each section of the tower, there is a liquid distributor composed of distribution pipes and distribution plates; lean liquid is sprayed at the upper part, while semi-lean liquid is sprayed at the lower part. The top of the tower is equipped with a wire mesh layer demister to capture the phenol droplets carried in the exhaust gas stream ; The bottom of the tower is equipped with a rotator, which is a grid-like partition. Above the rotator lies the inlet for low-velocity gas; the main pipe leading to this inlet runs in a diameter direction, with branch pipes arranged parallel to each other, thereby ensuring even distribution of the gas within the tower. All components inside the tower are connected using detachable fittings, and all other parts can be removed through access holes or discharge ports.
