Since the original poster has quite a few questions, and some of them are things I’ve never seen before, I’ll explain them to the poster based on what I know. The common pipe fittings used on pipelines, along with their Chinese and English names, are as follows: Pipe socket (OLET – available in W-OLET, S-OLET, T-OLET types, corresponding to butt welding, plug welding, and threaded connections; it is used to connect branch pipes, similar to a tee, and is mainly used for connecting smaller pipes to larger ones). Reducers (CON-RED, ECC-RED – concentric/eccentric reducers, also known as transition fittings; their function is self-evident). Tees (R-TEE, TEE – with varying or identical diameters; their function is briefly explained below). Couplings (COUPLING; sometimes also called CONNECTOR – they are essentially the same thing; the reason for the different names isn’t clear). Nipples (this is how I call them; they are used to connect two pipe fittings, commonly used in fiberglass or copper-nickel pipelines). Plugs (PLUG – a fitting that matches T-OLET; it is used to seal an opening, and together they are often used for draining fluids). Saddles (SADDLE – this is likely used only in fiberglass pipelines; there are various types of saddles such as FLANGE SADDLE, SADDLE BRUSH, etc.). Pipes (PIPE, TUBING – one refers to ordinary pipes, while the other refers to instrumentation pipes). Flanges (FLANGE, R-FLANGE). Gaskets. Bolts/nuts (BOLT/NUT). When describing pipe fittings, information such as their dimensions, thickness designation, material standards, manufacturing standards, corrosion protection requirements, and welding methods (SW, BW, NPTF, NPT, etc.) is usually included. . . . . . . Although it may seem complicated, the original poster can just look up some information on their own. It’s not necessary to be too strict about requiring that one understand every detail; it’s sufficient to provide guidance on what needs to be done. As an additional note, does anyone know what these things are? For example, the Double Ferrule Fitting, 316 SST, Connector, Female NPT x Male Tube, 1/2" x 1/2": is this a short coupling with male NPT threads on one end and a ferrule design on the other end?
It is a dual-card sleeve connector; the specification is internal threads of 1/2\" NPT at one end, and a 1/2\" air supply pipe fitting at the other end.
