What do SS-TP316, SS-TP321, SS-TP347, etc. mean?
Material grades specified in the American standard ASTM A312, \"Standard Technical Conditions for Seamless and Welded, as Well as Highly Cold-Worked Austenitic Stainless Steel Nominal Tubes\". TP316 is equivalent to the new national standard grade 06Cr17Ni12Mo2, TP321 is equivalent to 06Cr18Ni11Ti, and TP347 is equivalent to 06Cr18Ni11Nb. Other commonly used ones include 06Cr19Ni10 (TP304), 022Cr19Ni10 (TP304L), and 022Cr17Ni12Mo2 (TP316L).
