Regarding hydrogenation units, what does the dual-tower stripping process mean?
Regarding hydrogenation units, what is the double-tower process? The double-tower stripping process involves adding a hydrogen sulfide removal stripping tower to the single-tower process, and it uses residue oil to exchange heat with the distillation feed
If I’m not mistaken, it’s the acidic water stripping unit in the hydrogenation plant; this process comes in both single-tower and double-tower configurations. The choice of process depends mainly on the subsequent treatment method for hydrogen sulfide!
The double-tower process is a concept relative to the single-tower process, with an additional hydrogen sulfide removal stripping tower added~~
The concept of twin towers is probably related to wastewater stripping, used for treating acidic water from hydrogenation processes; the first tower removes hydrogen sulfide, the second tower produces ammonia gas, and there is actually a third tower as well, the ammonia purification tower.
