There is a gas-liquid separation tank, with an air intake volume of approximately 1500 m3/h. The tank has a diameter of 500 mm and a height of approximately 2000 mm. The upper and side parts are connected by pipes (the pipes are DN80). With leg supports, will the equipment shake during operation?

Gas-liquid separation tanks are generally designed horizontally, with one end fixed by a saddle and the other end being sliding. Vertical tanks are also available, but they are used very rarely. For information on whether shaking will occur, it is necessary to request a calculation report from the designer, especially regarding the stress calculations of the pipes under high flow rates.
