HONEYWELL HPM AO output AUTO, MAN issues

Hi, everyone. I’m trying to create an AO output function. Since I’m new to DCS, there are some aspects I don’t quite understand. I want to calculate a value (0~100%) using Regulatory PV points in the system; when the user selects AUTO mode, the AO should output this value directly, while when MAN mode is selected, the user should be able to enter the desired output value. How should I do this? Thank you
