It depends on the pressure of your syngas supply; assuming 3.0 MPa, the power requirement is 12,000 KW, with the ammonia compressor accounting for 7,000 KW. If the pressure of the syngas supply is 5.0 Ma, then the syngas compressor has a capacity of 7500 kW, while the ammonia compressor has a capacity of 7000 kW
Compressors for 300,000-ton synthetic ammonia plants: Syngas compressors can be divided into centrifugal compressors and reciprocating compressors. Ammonia compressors can be screw compressors or centrifugal compressors, while the compressors used for circulating gas can be reciprocating compressors; if they are centrifugal compressors, they are usually integrated with the syngas compressors.
