For memorization, it is recommended to use authentic English articles from the UK and the US, rather than those written by Chinese people, as there are still differences in ways of thinking. 5. Be brave enough to speak: A language that can only be heard and written is a dead language; only one that can be spoken fluently is a useful, living language. Therefore, one must be brave enough to speak and express oneself boldly. One can start by practicing with simple sentences, thinking while speaking, so as to improve English proficiency more quickly. I think it’s possible to learn on your own*, but you need a solid foundation. If your English skills are weak, it’s advisable to take some online English training or attend free online lessons with foreign teachers, so that you can practice speaking one-on-one with them and have any mistakes corrected promptly. This approach is very effective for improving listening and speaking skills. Once you have a basic foundation, learning on your own becomes much easier, and you’ll be less likely to have issues with pronunciation. Everything is difficult at the beginning; it’s very hard to learn something new at first, but once you reach a certain level, it becomes much easier to learn.
