What is the typical low-temperature tolerance of pressure transmitters? Do outdoor pressure transmitters in cold regions necessarily require insulation boxes?
The temperature resistance of pressure transmitters from different brands varies. Insulation boxes are generally used to prevent the liquid level in the pressure guiding tube from freezing; in extremely cold conditions, such insulation also serves to protect the transmitter.

The temperature range that the electrical components can withstand, which is the most important factor. 2. The temperature range that the measuring element can tolerate in the medium – this is also very important. 3. For instruments with displays, especially those with LCD or fluorescent displays, the temperature range that the display components can withstand. Some early LCD monitors, although they could no longer display images at lower or higher temperatures, still produced normal output signals. 4. For instruments with mechanical movements, it is important to know the temperature range that the mechanical components and lubrication systems can withstand. 5. For instruments equipped with precise displacement measurement functions, it is very important that temperature directly affects their sensitivity or their tendency to deform.
Pressure transmitters are tested under high and low temperature conditions before leaving the factory. As for the pressure gauge itself, it should be able to withstand temperatures of around 40 to 50 degrees without issue; however, the fluid inside the pressure conduit might freeze.
