For a screw pump equipped with an inverter, when it operates at a frequency of 3–4 Hz, the motor hardly rotates and the flow rate is very low; whereas when it operates at a frequency of 5–10 Hz, the outlet flow rate becomes extremely unstable. What is the reason for this? I also have another question: if one wants to control the flow rate at the outlet, are there any other methods besides installing an inverter? For example, can valves be used to control the flow rate? I appreciate your advice, thank you.

I think you can stabilize the flow rate by adjusting the outlet pressure; the main reason for the unstable flow rate is likely that the frequency conversion setting is too low, resulting in insufficient outlet pressure. Is your pump too large?
The efficiency of screw pumps is low to begin with. And they all have a fixed compression ratio. The usage requirements can only be met under the design parameters. It is recommended to use bypass regulation and a reverse inlet tank for the extraction port, but be careful not to cause overpressure in the inlet tank
