The electrolysis unit produces a large amount of hydrogen off-gas; as for what to do with this excess hydrogen, are there any systems that use it in hydrogen-fired boilers to generate steam as a by-product? ?
Yes, our unit has installed one.
We use it for gems and caustic soda, as well as supplying it to others
Using hydrogen-based products or finding partners to supply hydrogen externally yields much higher profits than using hydrogen to generate steam
The effect is good; the steam produced locally is sufficient for the entire factory.
Using a hydrogen boiler is the least efficient method. Looking ahead, could we consider building hydrogen refueling stations or something similar? I’ve heard that hydrogen-powered vehicles are set to be promoted in China. The hydrogen can be purified and then supplied to these refueling stations; by working together with vehicle manufacturing companies, this could potentially be a good solution for finding uses for the hydrogen produced by our chlor-alkali industries in the future.
There are already hydrogen refueling stations, but a significant amount of hydrogen is still released.
