The bottom temperature is currently high, and the flow rate returning to the tower has reached its maximum value. The temperature of the slurry returning to the tower is below 290°C; currently, the volume of material circulating back to the tower is low. We would like to increase this volume further, but doing so causes the temperature at the bottom of the tower to rise too high. How should one adjust in such a situation?
There’s no need to mention the amount of reflux to the tower anymore; if that amount is increased, the temperature at the top of the tower will drop, and as a result the bottom temperature will rise. It is possible to increase the reflux load in the middle section in order to reduce the load at the bottom of the tower, or to lower the temperature of the slurry being refluxed back to the tower.

If the reaction temperature is increased, won’t the temperature at the bottom of the distillation tower be even higher?
The higher the reaction temperature, the lower the temperature at the bottom of the distillation tower.

If it is only the bottom of the tower that is overheating, it is possible to lower the temperature at which the slurry is returned to the tower; in our case, this temperature is still below 260; It is also possible to check whether the circulation volume of the slurry has reached its upper limit; it’s not a problem if the flow rate returning to the tower is at its maximum value, but if the flow rate going back up to the tower is insufficient, one can try increasing the outlet pressure of the pump in order to raise the overall circulation volume of the slurry. Here, the descent of the tower is always under full-scale control.
Have you calibrated the temperature gauge at the bottom of the tower? Is it ready? It can’t be that sensitive, right? The load on the slurry pump, or in other words, the circulation rate of the slurry, should be sufficient to ensure proper temperature control at the bottom of the tower. Has this been the case all along, or did it start only recently?
May I ask if the mixing slurry at the bottom of this Haiyou tower should be set to full operation?
