It is used in applications where the viscosity is high, high pressure is required, and the flow rate is not large; it is commonly employed in lubrication stations. There are three-screw, twin-screw types that I have come across; I have also worked with single-screw types. They are generally used in sewage pumps. As for five-screw types, I have no experience with them.

Is the material of the pump casing the same as that of the suction chamber and the discharge chamber? For sewage, is cast iron or stainless steel more suitable?
