What are the hazards of ammonia in acidic gases? What is the combustion temperature? What substances are produced?
The ammonia burning temperature must be at least 1250 degrees, and the ammonia content in the process gas must not exceed 150 ppm. Ammonia burns to produce nitrogen and water. Ammonia in the process gas first causes salt formation that blocks the system; secondly, its presence promotes the sulfation reaction of the catalyst.
Question: (1) Does \"process gas\" refer to the acidic gas fed into sulfur recovery? (2) At lower temperatures, there is also evidence showing that NH3 produces NOX ； Is there any exhaust gas used as a component in this?~
Process gas is so called because it comes from behind the sulfur production furnace; it is not acidic gas. The nitrogen oxides in our sulfur flue gas are generally only 20–60 mg/m3. It’s not clear whether it’s ammonia from Klaus coming from ahead, amines or ammonia from exhaust gases, or nitrogen oxides produced by the incinerator itself.
