Discuss the impact of the amount of product taken from the top of a distillation column on distillation operations

Hey, the original poster – I often see you posting many posts about distillation, each consisting of just a simple sentence, and they’re not easy to answer. It seems that no one really responds to such posts either; maybe the technical complexity is too high?:lol But many of the posts you make are things I’d also like to know about:’( Why are there so few replies? :'(It’s suggested that the poster turn it into a daily question format, and reveal the answers after some time.) Returning to the main topic, if the amount of product taken from the top of the distillation tower is low and the reflux volume remains unchanged, the level of the reflux tank gradually increases. Adding more reflux would indirectly lead to higher energy consumption, which is not economical; however, it does help improve the quality of the product. If the extraction volume is high, it can easily disrupt the material balance inside the tower, causing heavier components to rise and affecting product quality.
