Recently, the company used a vehicle to carry out drying and regeneration of the dryer tower! But there is a problem: the capacity isn’t enough! But in this process, there are several aspects that are confusing! 1. The dew point of the gas used for drying is below –60°C; the drying tower is maintained at a temperature of 150–165°C for 3 hours, with a pressure of around 0.5–0.7 MPa. After that, the temperature is reduced to 20°C, resulting in a dew point of around –30°C ; Regarding this process, is the temperature too low, the gas flow rate too low, or is the constant-temperature time insufficient? 2. Assume that after the drying tower has been operating for some time, its outlet dew point is at –40°C. Now, gas with a dew point of –60°C is used to dry it (the flow rate, temperature, and duration are all sufficient). The temperature is kept constant at 180°C; after cooling with water, the temperature drops to around 35°C, and the measured dew point is around –30°C. What could be the reason for this?
I haven’t understood the original poster’s question; a newbie just starting out would like to discuss it with the original poster. Is it heat-regeneration adsorption drying with dual-tower switching? What is the device traffic? What is a desiccant? What was the good level that the equipment could maintain before? The heating temperature during regeneration is 150–165°C, the pressure is 0.5–0.7 MPa, and the time required is 3 hours ; Cooling process 20°C (Is it water cooling?) Our equipment is a finished gas-cooled blower); what about the pressure? Duration? In terms of the equipment processes here, a high outlet dew point indicates insufficient drying capacity; this is due either to incomplete regeneration or a decline in the dynamic adsorption capacity of the desiccant itself. I have encountered situations where the molecular sieve was contaminated by oil carried in by the compressor, as well as cases where the regeneration temperature was insufficient
The data volume is uncertain; I considered installing it back then but the approval was not granted! The desiccant is a molecular sieve, similar to those used in air separation; it is regenerated and cooled using the product gas, without any water cooling! The finished gas is free of liquid (gas phase)
