What methods are used to regulate the flow rate in commonly used centrifuges, and is it related to the type of prime mover? What do isobaric throttling and isochoric throttling mean? Does our compressor have 8 impellers, meaning it is an 8-stage compressor?
I don’t know much about centrifugal compressors, so I’m trying to provide a response as follows. Please point out any mistakes. What methods are used to regulate the flow rate in commonly used centrifuges, and is it related to the type of prime mover? Variable speed adjustment is generally used. Depending on the application, inlet control valves/vanes, backflow control, or even discharge control can also be employed (such as in compressors/fans used for sulfur recovery). If variable speed control is used, it is related to the type of prime mover, as different prime movers have different maximum speed regulation ratios. I have been in contact with single-stage centrifugal compressors that use inlet vanes for regulation.
We use compressors to regulate the pressure in the reactor; therefore, when the reactor pressure fluctuates, we often use anti-surge valves to control the flow rate. Of course, this can only provide fine adjustments. If the anti-surge valves have been adjusted to their limit, then we adjust the steam supply to control the speed and thus regulate the flow rate. I don’t understand the second question. The third level of issues refers not only to the impeller but also to the accessories connected to it; the whole is referred to as level one
