Can frequency signals be transmitted in the same way as 4-20mA signals?

Is a turbine flow meter one that transmits frequency signals? If it can be transmitted, what is its range? How much at most? What’s the minimum?
A secondary meter can be added to convert the frequency signal into a current signal for input into the system
This post was last edited by qugd on 2015-12-16 at 20:19. It’s completely possible; one just needs to convert the frequency value into current, and there are specialized signal conversion cards for this purpose. Precision is lost during signal conversion, especially for high-frequency signals.
Pulse transmission signals can be used, and the output shaped pulse is around 3K (approximately, over an extended period of time). Maximum distance: It depends on the pulse frequency and the specifications of the cable; it is advisable to use cables with polyolefin insulation and shielding, and 4/5 hundred meters is no problem. @jiaguoyun
There are specialized pulse cards available, but the turbine flowmeters we use also operate on a 4–20mA signal; the conversion is done by the transmitter itself, which helps reduce the need for additional cards. Otherwise, it would be uneconomical to have to purchase 1–2 extra cards just for that purpose
Just buy the standard signal; there’s no need!
