In LNG mixed-refrigeration systems, when the intercooler undergoes overall rewarming, coolant must be added – is this normal? . . Is there a problem with the design instead? . . Moreover, a large amount of heavier components (propane, isopentane) are added. . .
It’s definitely not normal; it’s recommended to check for any leaks in the system
The leakage point may cool down due to pressure reduction; there must be other reasons
Check if the compressor has any leaks
Inspection: 1. Check for internal leaks in all safety valve bypass lines and safety valves in the gas and liquid phases of the refrigerant system. 2. Check for internal leaks in each heat exchanger of the compressor in the refrigerant system. 3. Check the cold box section and perform a laminar analysis to determine if there are any leaks. 4. Determine whether there is a change in the pressure of the channel separated from the refrigerant system, and whether air leakage has occurred. 5. Is there any air leakage from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side in the refrigerant circuit of the cold box?
